French Translation Services

French from France and Canadian French to English and English to French Translation Services are our specialty

French is spoken as a native language by 110 million speakers, and it is the second language of 160 million people. There are 30 countries where French is the official language: Democratic Republic of the Congo, France, Canada, Madagascar, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivore, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Mali, Rwanda, Belgium, Guinea, Chad, Haiti, Burundi, Benin, Switzerland, Togo, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Luxembourg, Vanuatu, Seychelles, and Monaco.

The French language is regulated by the Académie française.

With these facts in mind, LinguaVox, a certified technical translation company with online professional translation agencies in Europe and the United States and several in-house French translators, revisers, reviewers, proofreaders and project managers, set up its mind to serve its French, Canadian, and international clients and satisfy its linguistic needs for French, both European, African and Canadian. LinguaVox has been awarded the quality standards ISO:9001 (certified quality management system) and EN:15038 (certified French translation services), and has implemented a triple quality guarantee scheme.

Since 2000, more than 3,000 international clients have chosen LinguaVox as its trusted French document translation partner for their technical, medical, legal, financial, patent, website, and sworn translation requirements. Such names include Volvo, Vodafone, BBVA, Pfizer, ExxonMobil, Hitachi, Sony, Eon, Iberdrola, Air Liquide, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, William Cook, Cambridge University Press, European Commission, Spanish Ministry of Education and Cooperation, etc.

English to French Translation

The offices LinguaVox has in Europe and in the United Sates allows us and our customers to target the French market towards which their products are directed, either in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Canada or the Francophone African countries.

Over the last 10 years, we have translated several million words from English into French. These translations have been carried out by French translators that lived in the target country (Belgium, France, Canada, etc.) For instance, if you would like to have your products catalogue translated into French and you are going to use the translated text in Belgium, we would do everything to assure that the translation of your document complies with Belgian uses, expressions and style.

In order to do that, we would hire a Belgian translator who has experience in the field of the text to be translated, who would translate into French for Belgium. The reviser would also be Belgian, thus guaranteeing that the style, vocabulary choice, expressions, etc… are fit for the Belgian market. As a last step, our in-house French Project Managers –or one of our in-house French native translators- would perform the pertinent quality checks (file completeness, grammar, orthography, etc.)

The offices LinguaVox has in Europe and in the United Sates allows us and our customers to target the English-speaking market towards which their products are directed, either in the USA, UK or even Canada.

Thanks to these offices in different continents, the translation projects that are confided to us by our customers will be revised by either US, UK or Canadian English revisers, reviewers, and proofreaders, thus guaranteeing that the target texts will be tailored to the country-specific requirements of the country the texts are going to be used in.

Besides, our European offices count with English-speaking project managers, all of them with an MA in English Philology and Translation and Interpretation Studies, which make it easy for the source texts to be understood properly and thus eliminate any doubt that may arise.

French from France vs Quebec French (Canadian French)

Differences between European and Canadian French

Although any native French speaker from any French speaking country will understand the French language from a different country, it is undeniable that there are clear differences between European French, African French, and Canadian French, and even between the French language spoken in the different European countries (France, Belgium.) The French language has evolved very differently in France and Canada, and differences have to do with syntax, grammar, and especially with pronunciation and vocabulary. More and more international companies are aware of these differences and they provide at least two French language versions of their websites, one for Canada, and one for the rest of French speaking countries.

However, when the source text is of technical nature, the differences between both variants of French tend to be minimized.

Nevertheless, customers had better adapt their translations into French for France, Canada or Africa, depending on their needs and preferences and should indicate so when they make their French translation requests to LinguaVox, S.L.

We are specialized in providing flawless (France) French Translation Services and Canadian French Translation Services to clients all over the world. According to their choice, at LinguaVox, S.L., we will find the most European French or Canadian French suitable professional translator and both our customer and the target audience at which the text is addressed will be happy.
