English to French Translation
The offices LinguaVox has in Europe and in the United Sates allows us and our customers to target the French market towards which their products are directed, either in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Canada or the Francophone African countries.
Over the last 10 years, we have translated several million words from English into French. These translations have been carried out by French translators that lived in the target country (Belgium, France, Canada, etc.) For instance, if you would like to have your products catalogue translated into French and you are going to use the translated text in Belgium, we would do everything to assure that the translation of your document complies with Belgian uses, expressions and style.
In order to do that, we would hire a Belgian translator who has experience in the field of the text to be translated, who would translate into French for Belgium. The reviser would also be Belgian, thus guaranteeing that the style, vocabulary choice, expressions, etc… are fit for the Belgian market. As a last step, our in-house French Project Managers –or one of our in-house French native translators- would perform the pertinent quality checks (file completeness, grammar, orthography, etc.)

French from France vs Quebec French (Canadian French)
Differences between European and Canadian French
Although any native French speaker from any French speaking country will understand the French language from a different country, it is undeniable that there are clear differences between European French, African French, and Canadian French, and even between the French language spoken in the different European countries (France, Belgium.) The French language has evolved very differently in France and Canada, and differences have to do with syntax, grammar, and especially with pronunciation and vocabulary. More and more international companies are aware of these differences and they provide at least two French language versions of their websites, one for Canada, and one for the rest of French speaking countries.
However, when the source text is of technical nature, the differences between both variants of French tend to be minimized.
Nevertheless, customers had better adapt their translations into French for France, Canada or Africa, depending on their needs and preferences and should indicate so when they make their French translation requests to LinguaVox, S.L.
We are specialized in providing flawless (France) French Translation Services and Canadian French Translation Services to clients all over the world. According to their choice, at LinguaVox, S.L., we will find the most European French or Canadian French suitable professional translator and both our customer and the target audience at which the text is addressed will be happy.
